ABOUT US
Międzynarodowy Przegląd Polityczny (MPP - International Political Review), published by the Fundacja Środkowoeuropejska (The Foundation for Central European), is a journal created in cooperation with an Editorial Board that assembles important conservative publicists. They are Catholics who promote the free market and who primarily hail from the younger generation. Among them are such names as Grzegorz Górny, Paweł Szałamacha, Konrad Szymański, Łukasz Warzecha, and Piotr Zaremba.
MPP is not a party organ. It is addressed to people who are committedly involved in politics at every level, be they parliamentarians, parliamentary advisers, or journalists covering politics, especially foreign politics. A further important group of our readers is that of students and scholars.
The principle task of MPP is to convey the up-to-date political thinking being developed in the preeminent centers and think tanks of the Center-Right in Europe and the United States.
MPP has established regular cooperation with a range of academic and specialist institutions in the world. Notably among them are the Institute of European Affairs in Dublin, the Economic and Social Research Institute, the Acton Institute, the Weekly Standard, and Chronicles.
Our journal's objectives shall be pursued through:
- publishing expert analyses (the presentation of the achievements of the above mentioned centers and think tanks is to comprise half of each issue of MPP);
- familiarizing our readership with the policies of Center-Right governments around the world (e.g., documents, addresses, etc., - this to make up approx. 30% of our journal);
- presenting and examining the findings of Polish opinion polls relevant to elections and significant political issues;
- setting out the political programs and election platforms of major parties and publishing important political speeches;
- reviewing press accounts of European developments;
- analyzing elections outcomes and providing diagnoses concerning voter trends throughout the world;
- reviewing important new books from the realm of politics.
The very hierarchy as seen above at once reveals that a large portion of MPP's materials come from abroad.
Our Polish authors - besides shaping the thrust of our journal - will focus on analyzing the situation in Poland, reviewing the foreign press, and presenting their own specialized concepts.
Throughout its pages MPP shall endeavor to portray the broadest possible palette of data, facts, and research findings. In keeping with this we shall publish source materials - unedited and without commentary - on the policies of particular governments.
Thus, MPP is to become first and foremost a source of first-hand information. Our purpose is therefore not to engage in polemics or publicist writing, but to provide insight and knowledge on the main political trends in the Western World.
